Our name comes from the old Southern phrase, sitting in the catbird seat.
It means to be in the most advantageous position possible. Sitting in the catbird seat is more than an advantage. It’s a lens to see the world through, a place of rest in the midst of the storm.
When we have a perspective of ‘sitting in the catbird seat,‘ we see through a lens of hope, and are equipped to change the world for the better.
Our mission is to create content from that perspective of hope. We seek to embolden people to lend their strength in the face of adversity. We choose to tell stories of people who are shining brightly in dark places, taking risks, and swimming against the current.
